FashionWhat to Wear Where

The most important thing to wear to bed with your man is confidence. You won’t be sexy unless you feel sexy.

Q: Why wear anything to bed if it’s just gonna come off anyway?

A: The removal of your partner’s clothing (whether it’s by hand, or teeth) is one of the best parts of foreplay. And we all know that sex without foreplay is like going to the game without tailgating. It’s doable-  just not as good.

Q: Is there one type of lingerie that’s more attractive than another?

A: Obviously, alot depends on your partner’s preference. Usually, guys have no problem letting you know what turns them on. However, you need to still make sure the sexy lil’ things you pick out are the most flattering for your body shape. (If you need help figuring that out, read this Cosmo article)

Q: Thongs are a safe-bet. Why can’t I just stick to them?

A: You absolutely can. Just make sure you have a couple lacy ones. Mix it up! Victoria’s Secret knows how it is- they always have like the 5 for $25 deals. If you can find a matching bra- even better! There’s nothing like the real thing, but that’s almost like a lingerie set. And, ladies- make sure it all fits. Muffin tops are not hot.

Q: What are the latest trends?

A: As far as underwear goes, thongs will never go out of style, but due to a major positive response from dudes everywhere- boy shorts are hot. (Please note that I am NOT referring to the “granny-panties” you wear when you have your period.) In the same way he loves how you look in his clothes, he’ll love the sexy, feminine twist you put on anything “masculine”.

Vintage-style lingerie is totally in right now. High-wasted panties with a matching full-cup push-up bra leave more to the imagination. Your man will want to see what’s underneath that extra fabric, not to mention you’ll look like a classic pin-up girl. (This syle however, is not gonna work on everybody. If you can’t pull it off- don’t. You’ll look like your mom in a girdle.)

As far as colors go, prints and brights are perfect for the Spring 2010 season. Turqoise, yellows, pinks (careful with hot pink), purples, and orange will bring your lingerie to life. Feel free to mix it up with floral prints, polka-dots, arguile, whatever (obviously, if you’re worried about looking fat- stay away from horizontal stripes.) And as always, stick with colors that compliment your skin tone.

Q: What about fragrance?

A: You’d be surprise at exactly how influential your scent is to a man. This is another one of those things where personal preference plays a big part, but test it out a little bit. Try different perfumes, body sprays, or lotions and see how he reacts to each. (Don’t worry about f*cking it up- he’s not gonna not have sex with you because you smell like vanilla instead of strawberry.) Take into consideration though, when shopping for a fragrance, whether or not what you chose is more of a day-time smell or a night-time smell. I’ve also noticed alot of guys have a thing for somewhat “cologne-like” scents. I’m not saying spray his Axe all over yourself, but it all goes back to the feminine twist on masculine.  It’s all about the pheromones, baby.

Q: Anything I should stay away from?

A: Of course. Stay away from going to bed dirty, that’s gross. Flannel PJ’s are super-comfy, I know- but just because you’re uber-comfortable with your boyfriend, doesn’t mean he wouldn’t thoroughly appreciate more skin. Be nice to him. Other than those things- you be the judge. If it looks sexy to you, most likely it’ll look sexy to him.

HAVE FUN!!
