I worked down in Manayunk the other night and I was right near Duff’s. I’ve had friends tell me i should try the Junk in the Yunk so it was the perfect opportunity. To prepare I ate a bowl of cereal at 9am and that’s it. I wanted to make room for this thing….and 6pm was battle time.

The Junk in the Yunk is a Cheesesteak with chicken fingers, french fries, American cheese and wiz. I got my wife the Edna May (Chicken cheesesteak with roasted peppers, spinach and provolone)

I was expecting a huge monster of a mess but actually got a human sized sandwich. ??? I ate the whole thing and wasn’t rolling around on the ground in pain. I was quite prepared to roll around but was genuinely happy not too. I really liked the roll…that’s half the battle. The meat was a tad dry but the wiz and American cheese helped that out. I could have done with some more french fries and chicken fingers in my sandwich but it was good overall. I would buy it again. My wife liked the Edna May so that made me happy that she was happy. Happy wife, a happy life.

Anyway, I would go back and try some other fatnesses. The Thanksgiving Dinner on a roll sounds interesting.
