The Career Wardrobe empowers women to succeed in the workplace by providing women in transition with free professional clothing and educational seminars.

Yoga Class to Benefit Humane League

Please join us for a Vinyasa Yoga class to benefit the Humane League’s work to save animals! Participants are invited to join the Humane League for a fun, invigorating class that’s appropriate for all levels–whether you’re a yoga novice or an experienced yoga enthusiast! The class will focus on breath and will include meditation. Pre-registration is not required but is encouraged. Those interested can pre-register by emailing: dhyana.staff@gmail.com .

ADMISSION: FREE – attendees are highly encouraged to bring a canned good to benefit Philabundance. Concessions and monetary donations benefit the Ani Fiordimondo Performing Arts Scholarship Fund.

DETAILS: The A Cappella Project – Philadelphia is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to the education and promotion of a cappella music in the Philadelphia area. The primary mission is to raise funds for local scholarship funds based in the arts. Currently, we are funding the Ani Fiordimondo Performing Arts Scholarship Fund, administered by the Walnut Street Theatre. Every year a scholarship to the Walnut Street Theatre’s summer camp is given to a promising student in need who exhibits the spirit and dedication that we remember in Ani. All of our proceeds are donated the the scholarship fund, and we at Project-Philly fully support the Walnut Street Theatre and their mission in arts education. The 53rd annual New Hope Automobile Show will take place on August 14 and 15 from 9 am-4 pm at New Hope-Solebury High School, New Hope, PA. The show benefits the New Hope-Solebury High School through student scholarships. More than 400 classic and antique cars and motorcycles will be on display with an entirely different roster of cars each day. Tickets are $5 per person and free for children under 12 years of age accompanied by a parent. Service members and their families can enjoy the show free of charge.

World Cafe Live’s “Kids Rock for Kids” rock concert series benefits children’s medical charities in the Philadelphia area several times throughout the year. Concerts feature teenage rock bands from Music Training Centers’ Rock 101 program in a family-friendly atmosphere.

“Kids Rock for Kids” is made possible by sponsors World Cafe Live, Music Training Center, and Range Recording Studios (www.rangerecordingstudios.com).

Past concerts have raised donations for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, Ashley’s Angels, The Crohns Foundation of America, The Committee to Benefit Children (benefitting St. Christopher’s Hospital), The Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children, the Miriam’s Kids Foundation and Kids Smiles Non-profit Dental Centers.

Charities that provide medical benefits for children may nominate themselves to be beneficiaries of “Kids Rock for Kids” concerts at World Cafe Live by visiting www.musictrainingcenter.com/community.
