The Connecticut Film Festival is back in Danbury this year and promises to be a great one! From May 4th to May 9th, fifteen venues in Danbury, CT (including the infamous Palace Theatre, Hat City Ale House, and the Heirloom Arts Center) will host a vast array of events related to Digital Media, Film, Film Education and Music. Some special features of the festival include comedy, student-geared activities, documentaries, as well as free software for those who attend certain events!

[ATTENTION SCREENWRITERS]

Another incredible opportunity presented by the C.F.F. is something called “Writers Unblocked,” which will offer the chance for entry into one of the limited spots left in the 4-Day 2010 Screenwriter’s Immersion Program. All you have to do is submit a five page hard copy of a script, or script excerpt, to be reviewed and recorded during the program. You also have a chance of casting and directing your work yourself, and getting personalized script consultation from a professional screen-writing instructor! Remember, spots are limited so make sure to check out the Writer’s Unblocked information/criteria resource page ASAP!

Tickets are available for purchase on the C.F.F. website, priced both per event and discount pass packages depending on how many days you attend. One All-Access pass is $130.00. You can also find the schedule of events there, as well as any kind of participation instruction.

…Stay tuned for a closer look at some of the participants. Unfortunately, my colleagues live in Philadelphia, so they won’t be attending the festival, but this Gimme Girl will be there, and reporting back to you! Hope to see you, and if you see me first, make sure you say Hello!! :)
