Great Graduation Gifts!

This & That

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Only there’s no snow, no songs about reindeer, and no mistletoe. I’m talking about Graduation time! Now, I don’t know about you, by I find it easier to shop for Christmas than it is to shop for a Grad! But this year, I’m determined to get the perfect gift for my friends and family. Hopefully, this list will help you do the same!

Gifts ideas for Grads:

GIFT CERTIFICATES: They are always the best route when it comes to not knowing what to buy exactly. For clothes that could be worn for interviews, internships or new jobs, go for stores like Express (men’s and women’s), New York & Co., DKNY, Macy’s, Sak’s Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom’s.

For useful generic gift certificates that aren’t necessarily just for jobs that require that attire, you should consider places like Staples, Office Max, Best Buy, and Circuit City.

PLANNERS: Time to get organized in the real world! You can find really nice, professional looking planners at places like Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.com.

ONE-YEAR SUBSCRIPTIONS: One year subscriptions are great. You can order magazines for both men and women like Time or National Geographic, or order one according to the Grad’s particular interests, or new career! Also, you might want to think about a subscription to something like Sirius/XM Radio, or TiVo.

ENGRAVED PICTURE FRAMES: For a special way to remember a very special time, you can engrave really beautiful picture frames at stores like Things Remembered, or The Engraved Gift Store. You don’t have to just engrave picture frames, of course, and many places are willing to engrave things that weren’t purchased there.

WALLETS: A nice wallet in a great gift for a Grad. It’s simple, yet extremely useful at the same time! A quality-made attractive wallet can definitely be found in either Coach, Dooney & Bourke, or any major department stores.

EDIBLE ARRANGEMENTS: Yes, they’re pretty “girly”, but no one doesn’t like to eat :)

Congratulations to all the Graduates of 2010! Good luck!!
